A fire box was dispatched for a building fire. Upon arrival of the first engine, they found a taxpayer with medium smoke coming from the roof area. A 1 3/4″ line was stretched to the number two floor. Crews were driven out by advancing fire.
The operation went defensive and the fire was eventually extinguished. Upon further investigation, the fire was ruled electrical with it originating in the light ballast on the number one floor.
