On July 19, 2007, Applebee’s hosted a Dine to Donate event with Pennsville and Deepwater fire companies.  Those that came in to eat with flyers had 10% of their meals donated to the fire companies by Applebee’s.  Firefighters and fire trucks from both fire companies were on hand to meet the public.  One minor interruption occured when both fire companies were dispatched to an alarm system at Pennsville Towers.  A resident there had burned their dinner and discarded the burned food into a trash compactor.  According to Applebee’s, this was the most successful Dine to Donate on the east coast, and possibly in the entire country.  Thank you to Applebee’s, all those who came out to dine with the fire companies, and the firefighters who volunteered their time, as you so often do.
